Team,
I wanted to get your thoughts on a few things. I am working on closing a contract with an online ad network that’s been around since 2000. They will be looking to me to help them build their publishers network. That said, I would like to find out some information from the participants within this forum. How likely would you be to try a new service if they could guarantee your CPM rate and provide you with very relevant ads to the content on your page(s)? Would you be willing to abandon Google AdSense or Yahoo Publisher if you were able to make more money with another network? What other factors would you take into consideration before switching from Google and/ or Yahoo to another network?
My potential client has a pretty good track record and their current client list is impressive (They are looking to attract smaller publishers now hence me being involved). After observing their operation it seems that they pay publishers within a timely manner. If you need additional information just let me know. In light of the contract not being finalized I cannot disclose the name yet.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I think I would have to be sure that i was going to get paid. Id want an easy to view page displaying my earning (like google ). I’m guessing the reason your asking about switching is because you can't have your Ad and googles ones due to some Terms of service ?
Tom,
Thanks for the response. You are correct as per Google’s TOS you are only allowed to display their ads exclusively. That obviously limits the revenue potentials for publishers. My client allows publishers to display advertisements from other networks. When I asked them about this issue they explained to me that they were so confident that publishers would make more money with them that they felt that they did not need to require exclusivity.
With regards to payments, from my research I was able to confirm that current publishers are getting paid in a timely manner (and as per their agreement with my client). In addition I was also able to confirm that they were making more income with my client than they were with their previous ad network. What I am not sure about is the publishers interface. I know that one exist I just don’t know all the details. I know that publishers are well aware of how much money they have made and where the ads are coming from. The current publisher seem satisfied with their interface but outside of that I am a little in the fog.

If I was able to make decent money from them, yes I'd switch. Of course I'd be weary of them not paying, but with little background check, I'd sure they would be legit.
Make sure to let me know when they open to the smaller publishers, I'll sign up. Although I'm not exactly a small publisher, I can generate 100,000+ visitors monthly with some sites of mine.

Three Suggestions:
1) Real-time Reporting
2) Font / Style matching options
3) Good pay :)

It wouldn't take much for me to switch to another network. Having enough ad inventory would definitely be high on my list, though. Seeing PSA upon PSA's is aggravating. Sure, I can set another ad to be displayed instead, but that kind of defeats the point of using an ad network in the first place, so being able to display mostly paying ads would be greatly appreciated.
Secondly, having great support is always essential. And not just great, but FAST and AVAILABLE. Like 24/7 with helpful and friendly staff, available via phone, IM, e-mail, or chat.
Last, having a lot of ad creative sizes and formats to choose from is always important to me.
On a side note, PublisherForum's sister site PublisherSpot.com is starting to take off. Let me know if you'd like your network reviewed there.
