I have 10 domains for sale that I'm not using. If I make a for sale page and write a unique paragraph on each one that talks about the PS3, then add a link to my website psnfriends.com will the spiders craw it, follow the link to psnfriends and deem the content relavent because the paragraph talks about PS3 and count it as a backlink to my site?

If yes, can I buy 1,000 crap ass domain names like PS3ass, PS3milk, PS3cow, PS3cheese, and write a unique paragraph on each one about PS3, include a link to my real site, have google crawl them and count them as backlinks with relavant content, then return them all for a refund before the buyer's remorse period wears off?

Google may check the IP address for each website and penalize them for sharing common IP addresses. And it may not have any long term effects if you don't buy them.

As mentioned by Submerge, Google and other search are now checking web server IP addresses. If all your links appear to be coming from one place you'll be penalized.

Why would you go to all that trouble anyway when it's cheaper and easier to create links manually by finding similar sites to link from? If you don't want to spend the time link building yourself then put a project up on ScriptLance or one of the many freelance sites.

But, because of what G is doing...I know of several hosting companies that are now offering SEO hosting that could counter this. But, who is to say that you will win...from my personal experience and what I read and continue to see. A good rule of thumb is G always wins.

Even in the John Chow Case, in my book G still won. John Chow is just a smart man, and knows how to market and make money online.
