You know those forum booster things? Do they work? What's the best way to use them?
They are a semi beneficial way to improve total posts and content. No one will join a forum with 0 posts. No one will join a forum with 100000 crap quality spam posts either.
But sure, if you pick a reputable Paid Posting Service, it would benefit somecommunities.

No way can you make a living being a poster, unless you run the company. They are only making 10 cents a post at most. Put on top of that, a 30 second posting limit. 2 posts a minute. 120 an hour. 1440 every 12 hours (if you are only awake for 12 hours a day). That's about $144 a day.
That's a decent amount to live off of a day, but thats if you work efficiently doing nothing else a day, even less if you work only 8 hours shifts. And I don't think the posting companies have that much work to keep them occupied.
On 8 hours a day for a month you'd make $2880 a month. $34,560 a year. It seems unreasonable to make that much as you won't have a full work load. In my opinion, you'll get sick of it fast.

From my experience, forum populating services can be useful, but have their place. No matter what you hope for, the posts will never be as good as actual members, and the quality and benefits will largely depend on the forum's subject.
For example, a forum on... TV reality shows would benefit a lot more than a forum in a very technical field such as computer programming.
I think where forum populating services are most useful, is when you use them to start a brand new forum, to have some existing discussion going. Plus, these services are dirt cheap..
So if used wisely and for the right project and at the right time, these services can be very useful.
