Increasing sales is something we all want to do !

Even when you have very good search engine rankings, you still might not sell a lot of your products or services. This can be very frustrating but in most cases you just have to do that little extra to win the trust of your visitor

There are a few points that you have to take in notice:

Show testimonials

This is an easy but very effective way to give your visitors that extra little bit of trust they need before they are going to buy something from your site! Just show them on your selling page. Let them read how the other customers benefitted from your products or services!

Give Guarantees

This can also win the trust of your visitors! If you have good guarantees they see that as honest and trustful! They are more likely going to buy products from a site with good guarantees than from a site with none at all!

I find that adding Live Support/Operator Chat to your website really helps. If a customer is unsure on something it makes it incredability easy to clarify a point or make an enquiry when perhaps they would have otherwise left your website.

Another obvious one is to ensure that you have a contact number, billing address + legal details if required (i.e. here in the UK if your a company your registeration number, vat number, if your registered under the data protection act etc. etc.). You just appear more trusted.

Finally and this goes without saying nowadays ensure that you have a valid certificate (https). Again it just reassures shoppers.

Working outside the bubble would work too. If you owned a company such as a hosting company, then charging clients $0.01 for their first month will quickly grab a lot of people's attention. Free domain name for using your company would also work too.
