I got banned around a year ago. Recently i have sent in two applications from different sites, both of which were denied. One was a blogspot account. Do google ban people? Or should i try again with different niche sites?

Hi,

Google do indeed ban people. Usually for clicking on their own ads. I hope you didn't do that know ;)

If you want to apply again, ask you mom, dad etc to put it in their name...

Yes, Google Adsense has a reputation of banning a lot of people. I think the problem with you joining was that is was a blogspot account, not your own website. Also, Adsense may stop you registering if you have the same SSN as a banned account.

Actually, I think that AdSense is too lenient! There are a lot of publishers who get away with violating many terms of the agreement... however comparatively speaking with other networks, AdSense does ban relatively more than others it would seem.

I don't Google would deny your application due to it being a BlogSpot blog... as they clearly market the use of AdSense on BlogSpot fairly prominently. They may have denied it due to it being new, not having much content, subject nature, etc. You could always send an e-mail and ask.

However, it could likely be due to them cross-referencing your name on their blacklist (of past banned accounts). You may have to find another route, or send them an e-mail requesting a second chance (Google is very reasonable).

Good luck.

are they hosted on different servers? I heard google adsense checks the ip address of the site.

I sound a bit stupid asking this, but is it alright (legal) to have many websites using the same adsense account (code). I've only ever used adsense on a few of my websites, someone told me its restricted to one site but I never bothered to check.

Yes it's just fine. In fact, Google prefers it.

They even provide you with tools such as making channels by URL to help manage your multiple AdSense on various sites easier.

As long as your sites coincide with the terms of agreement you signed up to, you're more than welcome to put on various websites.

Aah right, thanks. :)

By the way, really good blog you got there. Quite inspiring to say the least. After reading a lot of it, I made the decision to quit selling physical stock and go into publishing.

That's the thing. A friend of mine did it all legit and didn't tell anyone to click his ads. Just before the initial withdrawal mark he was banned and accused of getting people to click his ads. Bit shifty if you ask me.

Yes, google do ban people. I think that now you should concentrate on other sources of revenue for your site. Maybe Kontera if you have good traffic or if you have lots of traffic, then go for CPM.

I would suggest if you want to get into Adsense again to:
-Register a business and use it for the name for the adsense account
-Get EIN or TIN for the business and use it for the SSN

I would suggest Chitika. I used it for some time. It didnt have those hardocre TOS as does Adsense.

Also you can try Mama too. I have heard they are good also.

Sometimes I think it is a little unfair how they ban people, and give little chance later to offer their account back. Payposter.com was recently banned from google and had to shut down because someone was repeatedly clicking the links. Kind of sad too, seemed like an ok community.

Now I don't want this to sound too mean, although it will, to some. I saw Tyler's comment above and I just couldn't let it pass. I agree, if anything AdSense is probably leaning way over on the side of leniency, perhaps knowing that Google started small and helping small people get bigger is a long term way to grow their business.

But common, guys, you have to at least read the terms of service (ToS) ... that is the rules by which Google will pay you if you comply with them. "can I have more than one site using AdSense"?, "Somebody told me this or that..." Why would you be trusting your money and your possible on-line future based on what 'somebody says', when you can get a real answer from Google, authoritatively.

It's all there in relatively simple English to read ... and if you have trouble with some of the meanings, just send Google and email, they will answer ... believe me, I know, they have given me a lot of help.

I think a basic misunderstanding by a lot of new folks is that Google is some mystical huge pot of money in the sky and why don't the dump some on me. Google is big, but remember it was started by two college kids with no money to speak of and no assurance of success. They got big by offering honest service to honest people ... mainly to the advertisers who pay the fees for Google AdWords which is where the money came from to pay a share for AdSense publishers.

Google is not the right money tool for everyone, and they aren't perfect, but with the tiny made for AdSense sites I keep finding when I search on keywords I am actually interested in finding information on, I think they are way too slack.

For those who have been banned ... rather than hearing about someone being banned ... talk to Google directly, face to face and honest as you would expect someone to be to you ... don't try to register with false names, in someone else's name or some other kind of scam ... would that be the way _you_ wanted to be treated?
Ok </sermon mode off>. Go make some money guys, it's out there.

Google won't let you talk to them directly, not comment on any Adsense account through email. So there is no luck there.

Lol, that is kind of true and most likely they will not un-ban you but it does happen but rarely. My friend had got unsuspended after he got ban but it took a long time for him to get his account back.

Based on my experience most people get banned for clicking on their own ads and then try to pretend they didn't. If you own up to it you're much more likely to get back in.

Google isn't stupid, so if you admit you clicked to test it out or see if it was working then they're likely to give you a second chance. If you continue to deny then they'll simply stop talking to you.
