Hello folks,

Considering I was the latest person to ask for this introductions forum, I gathered I should make use of it and well, introduce myself.

I'm Jamie, a 20 year old Web developer from the UK. I've been developing Web sites for six years, and have been self employed for three years.

Although I've blogged on and off for several years, generally my personal ramblings and about my day to day activities, it wasn't until earlier this year that I started blogging on a regular basis, this time about my life as a young entrepreneur.

Since starting my entrepreneur blog, my search engine rankings have gone through the roof and I've had the opportunity to guest blog on the likes of Jane May's Daily Web Ideas (http://www.dailywebideas.com). Those have been the two methods I have primarily used to gain traffic.

I'm also a blogger at HTMLHelp.com, a Web site which receives somewhere in the region of 100,000 visitors each day.

I'm here mainly just to enjoy the community, meet some new people, and help out where I can with any Web development or search engine optimisation queries.

I'm a keen traveller, currently making plans for a 12 month trip around Australia (of course, I'll be blogging as I travel). I love the outdoors and you'll often find me camping, kayaking, rock climbing and generally doing anything else extreme. I was contacted earlier this move by a UK TV channel who were looking for young entrepreneurs, to see whether I wanted to feature on their reality TV channel. As I result, I may be a national TV star very soon. :D

I'm also a moderator and administrator on several forums, such as WebHostingTalk.com and the International Web Developers Network.

A few public features about me, for your reading and listening pleasure:

Interview with me on Breakfast with the People (http://breakfastwiththepeople.blogspot.com/2007/08/jamie-harrop.html)
A newspaper article about me in May 2006 (http://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/local-business/Web-wizard-has-designs-on.1497277.jp)
A live BBC radio interview with me (http://www.equentity.com/News-and-Press/Press-Releases/2006-05-30-Equentity-LLC-Owner-Harrop-Makes-Headlines.php) (Please note this is on my own Web development company Web site. Hopefully linking to this interview won't class as self promotion. It wasn't intended as that)
A Bloggers Worst Mistake (http://www.dailywebideas.com/a-bloggers-worst-mistake-routines-count/) - A guest post I wrote on Jane May's blog
7 Ways to Increase Your PageRank (http://www.dailywebideas.com/7-ways-to-increase-your-pagerank/) - Another of my guest posts on Jane May's blog, which resulted in almost double the amount of comments that posts on Jane's blog usually receive.

Thanks CyberBoy. :) I like to think I've accomplished my own small share of achievements, but I certainly still have a lot to learn. I'll help out where I can, and I'll take any help that's given. :)
