Facebook Inc. is close to choosing between Google Inc. and Microsoft Corp. to sell ads for the social networking service outside the U.S., according to people familiar with the matter.

In a related negotiation, the winner of the international ad sales partnership is expected to buy a minority stake in Facebook along with financial investors as part of a financing round, these people say. The companies have discussed a valuation for the closely-held startup in the range of $15 billion. A Facebook spokeswoman and a Google spokesman declined to comment. A spokesman for Microsoft could not immediately be reached.

What a coincidence? :)

I was just reading about something like that. Microsoft just purchased a 1.6% stake on Facebook for $240 million. That's a pretty good amount of money right there. This made the 23 year old owner of FaceBook worth $5,000,000,000! Lol, count all those zeros. $5 Billion for short. :p

1.6% for $240 million. I think Microsoft just got robbed.

yeah I dont think facebook is worth over 15 billion but thats just me

It probably is. You should check the statistics of it to know how much it's really worth.

This is a tough question, how much is facebook actually worth? I would like to see how many active users they have, that would determine it. If it actually is worth 15 Billion, google must be worth at least 80 Billion.

Only 80 Billion to 15 Billion? I think it's a lot higher ratio than that.

Think how much Microsoft must be worth, because they include Msn, and Xbox, WOW!
