Not enough. Probably 2 during weekdays and 4 during weekends. I wish I had more time to devote to my websites.

It's kind of ironic because I know if I did this full time, I could put in enough time and effort to make a living from it. But, I have a full time job that limits the hours I can put in. At the same time, I don't want to quit that job and work on my websites full time because I don't have a big enough security blanket should things not work out very well. I mean, a simple Google Algo change can take some of your best sites and make profit plummet. And often it's not anyone's fault and not due to a lack of work/effort. Stuff just happens.

If I start making about 250/day on my websites I would probably quit my job... but I'm pretty damn far from that number. Ugh... all in good time.... all in good time.

On my blog i try and spend as little time as possible. basically my working on the net is less than 4 hours.

2 hours of research 1 hour of writing and then another hour of social media marketing around. I guess that is how i spend my day online. Article bumming and others are done later in the night or so with another 3 hours to spare before lights out.

I am going to have to say that I spend around 3 or so hours a day working on websites but I spend more about 6 hours a day online. I am still in college so I am on the computer and internet a lot as I have to do most of my work on my computer and I have a lot of free time.

I work around 3-4 hours a day on average. This number has slowly been increasing... about a year or so ago I was working around 1-2 hours per day. But I work more now because my blog takes so much time, and I get soooo many more e-mails now.

Part of what might account for my 'laziness' is a medical condition.. I'll be going to the doctor soon to be tested for Hyperthyroidism. For the past few years, but it's gotten far worse lately, I've had no energy. I mean, yesterday I took THREE naps. And I'm always so hot, even though I live in Canada. I go outside at like 3 degrees with just a t-shirt...

The good news would be if I do have huperthyroidism. All I would have to do is take 1 pill a day, and it basically brings you back to normal. If this is indeed what I have, it could literally change the way I work 10-fold.

When I was a teenager, I would work EXTREMELY HARD on my websites. I'm talking about 10+ hours per day here. These days I'm lucky if I can force 5 hours out of myself. I do some crunches and pushups every day, and don't eat the healthiest, but I do eat my veggies and drink my water. And I go to badminton twice a week, so it's not like I'm totally inactive...

Let's hope it's hyperthyroidism..

Considering I work an 8 hour day for the man, I try to find about 2 hours at night to work on my sites. Between dealing with a fussy baby, and a pain in the butt 3 year old, I usually get about 1 hour a night.

Could it be, perhaps that you have been working so hard on it for a long time, that now it is starting to wear in on you, and you are just tired of doing it?

It's like a sports athlete who enjoys doing his sport, but theres a point in his career that he gets tired of it. But that doesn't mean he hast lost the love for the sport. He may just need to win a championship or accomplish a goal to get back to the way it was.

Just a thought....

That's certainly a good hypothesis, but no, that is not it at all. While this line of work can be stale and repetitive at times, there is a lot of work I want to get done.

I just simply lack energy... if I go out grocery shopping that's it, I'm completely exhausted for the rest of the day...

Tyler,

that is one hell of a lack of energy, just grocery shopping can get you exhausted the whole day? That is bad, i don't think you exercise a lot then?

I spend more time chatting than I do working. I work for like 2 - 3 hours a day.

Not enough apparantly. I was going to badminton twice a week, but stopped a couple weeks ago as it wasn't challenging enough. There were certainly good players there, a bunch that are a lot better than me, but there are also a lot of poor players and it frustrated me to have to play a lot of mixed games to make it 'fair'.

I have been working on improving my diet and exercise outside of badminton, but am taking it very slow and gradual to make sure I stay on track.

I guess you should do running daily and stick to a strict diet if you intend to slim down.

I probably spend about 4-6 hours a day on my sites. I have another part time job. At the moment I only work at that job when I run out of money, 80% of my income goes into my sites. Hopefully one day I can quit my job and live off my sites :D
