vBulletin has gone gold with 3.6.0 and has also released 3.5.5

"vBulletin 3.6.0 is now our stable, fully supported version, superseding both
3.0.x and 3.5.x. While we will continue to support 3.0.x and 3.5.x with critical
bug remedies and security fixes, these lines are no longer in active
development."

Obviously there's an insane amount of new features/upgrades. My personal favourite by far is the Signature Permissions.

I totally agree.

And just so this isnt a hump post, i like cake.

No really this feature has allowed me to stop some very nasty people making stupid reply posts just to get their links in. On one forum sigs kill the design so we have them off now. It looks fantastic.

Just an update - the 3.6.0 is worth upgrading to for the better CAPTCHA spam protection alone. I was getting about 2 new spambot registrations per day on each of my nine forums before. Since upgrading I haven't seen one...

That's good. VBulletin is very good for creating forums. With this upgrade I think that they can dominate the entire forum business. That is to say, until somebody else doesn't come up with better software.

It's a shame that I shell out over $100 a license and only get a year of updates. Ah well, I'll wait until I need to upgrade a forum.
