I ask you to be as honest and as brutal as you can be.

Comment on my theme, adsense implementation, blog monetization, comment display, and anything you deem worthy of commenting on. Even the slightest comment, may go a long way

As to quote a wrestler, "Just Bring It!".

Thank you my friends!

I don't really see the point of having "Home" and "Blog" links in the nav, since they both just go to the same page. Also the 2 adsense squares right under the nav are very offputting. I'd wait till you've built up a bigger community before you decide to introduce such blatent ads like that.

1) you have no H1 tag. What are you trying to rank for? What is your site about? Stick the keyword in an H1 tag and use it on your site.

2) I agree with the ad suggestion. You have basically 0 content above the fold. Until you've established yourself a bit, that's kind of a no-no unless you're just trying to get as many clicks as possible. If you're actually trying to build readership, you need to do a better job on "hiding" your ads and weaving them into your site. Forego profit today for increased readership tomorrow. Remember, people clicking on your adsense might head off to another site and never come back.

3) There are bullet points next to ARCHIVE, CATEGORIES, FRIENDS ON THE NET which doesn't seem to make sense since they are more headings than list items. Those titles are in a <ul><li><h2> tag so modify that property in your styles.css and it should do the trick.

4) Your header image looks nice but it doesn't really say anything about what the site is about... beyond the textual sub title "the software expert and entrep." I would consider using something a bit more pointed or original. At the moment it's just an abstract design that doesn't really add any value. Just my opinion. The picture of you should stay...

Just a few things i noticed with a quick glance.

I agree with the home and blog links they go to the same page get rid of them!

I think the ads are a little intrusive but its your choice.

Maybe when you rollover the images in the header they should change so you know your on them and they are a link, they will stand out more.

I agree with what you guys are saying, about the ads, I have been meaning to change that.

I would also have to say that the website has a lack of drive, theres no real 'idea' of what it really is. Thats the problem I've been having. I have been having a lack of ideas of what to do with the website. Rest assured this is not my "main website" :-P

Anyways..... that is where I am struggling with this website. I have been at a crossroads on what exactly to do with it.

I have thought about making a website about technology, and creating a technology community, utilizing web 2.0 to make it good, but I don't feel that would be unique, not to mention that the tech field is a highly competitive area.

I have given thought, to blog about my success on the internet, like Joel comm, does, and just like Tyler does, but again, for me, that is not unique, and it is something that everyone else is already doing.

Whatever I do decide to do, I would have to be consistent with it. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome.
