Saw this and digg and thought it had some great tips, as it is from Google's Matt Cutts.

I really don't mean anything by this but how can we trust him if he only has a PR3? ;)

Although, he has a PR3, but it might be due to a lot of factors. Maybe his site is quite a new one, or maybe there are some other reasons. Also, I have always found that people who have good SEO rankings and good PR never reveal their actual secrets. You can trust only on other people to provide some basic tips. The rest you have to figure yourself out.

Some basic but surprisingly accurate and compact written SEO moves are also written in Google's webmaster guidelines (http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=35769); from submitting in Google to: not hide keywords, check robot.txt, rewrite dynamic URLs...

How is page rank worthless when people specifically buy domains for the PR? It has some worth to it. Unless your talking about the basing the quality of content off page rank.

yeah some people base the quality of a site on its PR, i think that wrong, PR just shows how much google likes your page :)

PR basicaly doesn't tell nothing about a content and its quality. PR simply means how many backlinks the site have, since this is the main factor influecing on PR.

people give more importance to pagerank and it is one of others criteria to make an idea about any web site.
all we know that web site with pr=8, is a quality web site but there are many others things such as the age of the web site, ....
