Actually I don't believe so. I believe a click is when:
A user first uses the AdSense Search Form on your site then goes to Google and clicks on a Sponsored Ad (right section). If they click on a natural search result you don't get paid.
Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong though...

what tyler is saying must be right because if organic search results were the only results being clicked, google wouldn't make anything.

From what I know, after user click on the Search Google button, (dun get paid) user click on the Sponsored Ads (get paid), or when user click on the searched results of the website (dun get paid).

Yup, I've used the Google Search bar back when using Adsense and they have to click on a sponsored link for you to get paid. A bummer really, but a win-win for Google. It's nice though because you can look up at what people are searching for.

Yes, exactly what you said.
But be careful, never click on ads if it's your website. You will be banned.

You can click your ads, just didn't get caught doing it too much. :) Which is complete crap with Adsense, because if you are interested in a product they are basically have forbidden you the check it out. If I were the advertisers, I'd get Google to change their policy and algorithm on click fraud.

Right.
I have done this quite a few times. But havent noticed them as clicks. I presume the IP's are monitored so it doesnt work out.

It has worked for me, but you got to space out you clicks a couple days in between. But I found to most constructive way was to goto to University's computer labs and click the Adsense on each PC. That's how I achieved the minimum $100 in 2 months payout requirements when I first got Adsense. Good times. :)
Ugh, Clicking ads just for the heck of it is wrong, Submerge. That's like taking other people's money right out of their pockets.

Trust me, I know it's wrong. But not everyone is a saint either. I rarely click my ads ever, it was something I had done when I was first starting out with CPC over a year ago. But when you first start out and it's the only revenue source for making money, you take it into your own hands. But if the ads wanted the publisher to keep from clicking their owns ads and counting them, they easily could prevent it.

no, as said before: you only get paid if someone clicks a sponsored ad
