Some of you may be wondering if and when PF will get a skin.

The answer is that I've commissioned for a very nice skin for PublisherForums. It should be done in around 2-3 weeks. Until then, we'll have to make do with this one, although it will just have all the greater impact when the new skin is here :)

I've thought about getting some nice custom emoticons for my other sites commissioned in the past, but the problem I kept coming across was that they'd eventually be stolen by others, thus making my investment rather a waste of money...

I may replace some of them though with other smilies, but I don't think I'll have custom-made emoticons made..

Okay, finally. I was on a waiting list for a while, and finally got through. I sent payment yesterday and the skinner is starting work on it. He said I should see an early mockup preview in 4-5 days (which in his world means 4-5 weeks more like it :P)

I believe custom skins usually range around the $200-$400 threshold... but there are few skins I actually like and good vB skinners are extremely rare, so I'm sticking with my existing skinner. He's done webmaster forums in the past too, such as WebHostingTalk.com.

I haven't decided yet. I guess it will depend on how fast and smooth the process goes. If there are a lot of delays and slow progress, I'll probably post some of the mockup previews here first, to gauge interest and possibly create some buzz.

If it goes fast, I'll probably just unveil the skin when it's all done.

I just noticed, I love how it has the boxes for logging in and the button says "Search", lol. And it also makes it sound like "Do you want a cookie?" which I love.

Also, the alignment of the titles on the blue bars (i.e. Category Names), are misaligned. Along with the buttons, but he should be able to fix that when the custom ones go in.

I would also think that the rollover for the Forum Category should be orange, to fit in with the rest of the site.

(While editing, the text seems really small, any chance to can up the size?) :D

Sorry, but I noticed that it is hard to tell regular text from links in most places, such as your user panel on the left, signatures, pagination, etc.
