Hi everyone,
I'm a starter in web development and I usually develop websites by utilizing CMS (the sites are heavily dependent on content). This is also due to my low budget as a student.
I created my newest site by using Joomla, and I wanted to optimize it for SEO, using the free components and add-ons available.
Now, on the verge of starting another web site, I want to ask what, according to your opinion and experience, is the best CMS for SEO purposes. "The best CMS" that I mean here is CMS that has good add-ons (preferably the cheap/free ones) for SEO.
And, do you think Joomla is good in this?
Thank you very much for your response and attention.

I use Joomla! to on 1 of my websites, and it is good for SEO in my opinion.
It was indexed really fast in google and other main search engines.

Personally, I use Drupal for all my CMS needs. I think that it is the best CMS for SEO purposes. Also, I think that if another good open-source solution is wordpress. If you have a site that is kind of personal in nature (like a blog), then you should consider using Wordpress. It is also very good for SEO. It also has a number of plugins that can be used for doing SEO.

Other than Joomla, possibly Wordpress. The community is huge for Wordpress and is keeping on improving. So Wordpress definitely has a lot of SEO plug ins I'm sure. I believe it is good for SEO as well without them.

I would actually use WordPress, though it is by default blog software, you can use the blog posts as a new CMS, and just create extra pages using the admin panel. And as Submerge said, there is a large community behind it and there are countless numbers of plugins and people that are experienced in using and customizing it.
For Joomla and Drupal etc. it's much harder to find a good coder for it as they are less used than WordPress, which means less demand and less coders. So if I were you, I would go with WordPress. And as they say, code is poetry.

Thanks everyone. I take WordPress as a recommendation for a blog platform. For other needs, thanks to your answers, I've got several good names in hand: Joomla and Drupal.
In another forum, I asked the same thing, and several people come with etomite (http://www.etomite.org) as an answer.
Does anyone here have any experience regarding etomite and SEO?

Drupal is the best! But it's tough to pick up and customise... So I stick with WordPress.
