Ok, I'm going to go through how I use Max Bounty to generate leads.
Now just to let you know that I am not an affiliate Marketer, and I don't make anywhere close to Mook Jon (http://www.aojon.com/). My main area is Adsense. But these things have worked for me, and should work for you.
Ok, I started trying my hand at affiliate marketing only a few months ago from hearing so must on forums about CPA (Cost Per Action). I thought that it would be a nice way to diversify my income streams.
First of all, lead generation involves obtaining prospects interested in a specific product or service. CPA lead generation is obtaining the leads through specific actions. Basically a user has to fill out a form of some sort. It could be just one field, or could be 4 pages.
Ok, I looked for offers that were realistic for me, meaning I didn't want to promote ringtones or debt solutions, My PPC advertising would not cover the costs, nor did I have experience at something so hard. So I found some nice one field offers, in a 3 niches:
Forum Leads (New Forum Members)
Free DVD Offers
Free Stain remover sticks
Now I know the offers that I want to promote, So I got started in my keyword research. I used adwords to advertise, and they have a nice keyword tool to find keywords based on a specific site or general keywords (Use both). I searched sites that were related to my niches, such as Prison Break for my Free DVD offer, The keyword tool gave me loads of keywords relating to prison break, so I filtered the ones I wanted. (Be careful and don't add all the keywords Adwords find!)
My rule of thumb is try and think like the people who search for the same topic as your ads. Such as the offer of promoting the free Prison Break Offer. Don't have keywords relating to the cast, episodes etc etc. Use keywords such as
free prison break offer
prison break download
free prison break download
watch prison break
prison break
Now the prison break lead is worth say $1.00. In adwords when you set your default Max CPC. Try and go for a really small amount such as 0.2 - 0.5. You will get alot of inactive keywords but try to think small CPC ,high volume campaigns. You could set your CPC to $.50 and get loads of Click throughs, but it is more likely that you will not generate enough leads to cover expenses.
Try and build around 100 small Campaigns to promote offers and set really small bids. You won't lose in Adwords and if you get a lead, your pay will cover about 10 - 15 people who clicked but did not convert.
Well remember this is from my own experience and has worked for me. There are guys that would think I am doing this all wrong, but if you do please post and let us all learn from it.
Cheers guys
