For those that are actively participating in our $800 contest, I'd like to remind you that we have a whole category catered to the top point winners.
As per our contest page (http://www.publisherforums.com/contest), there are 3 prizes in this category, and first place is $125!
Currently, nobody has a single point! While obtaining points isn't the easiest of things to do, since there is no competition as of yet, anybody who receives the minimum requirement of 80 points and 200 posts will receive $125...
Remember, it's 10 points per blog blurb and 1 point per referral. Again, there are no referrers yet!: http://www.publisherforums.com/referrers.php
$125 is on the line guys!

I don't know if the referral thing is off or what but I referred Breakpoint earlier. I don't think I'll win the point contest though, as I'd need 80 referrals just to win (I don't own a blog). Is there any other ways we can earn points?
Unfortunately, I don't know any people nearby that are interested in internet marketing, so I won't be winning the referral contest. :p

Yes, I have other fun methods in mind, but I wasn't going to unveil them until (unless) there was more active traffic... a bit of a catch-22, but unfortunately I can't launch these mini-point contests before there's more traffic as it's not fair.

Maybe thee price $$$ is too little to motivate others to blog about it. :D
I guess we an't blogging that much these day, with PayPerPost & ReviewMe, it's getting kinda of sensitive. A case of bad timing maybe.

I got one.
Maybe I can try win that. :) But as said above the incentive is less for that contest [referral & blog]

Tyler, would you increase the points for the referrals, it is really very LESS. Blogs could be reduced or remain same.

Charley, unfortunately not. I don't want to make any changes to the contest unless absolutely necessary as it's not fair to change rules halfway through.

No I don't, but that's partly because there hasn't been anybody that has blogged about it yet :)

You are right, Tyler. I forgot about the points contest. I think that you should increase the no. of points for referrals. That way more people will bring referrals to your site.

The same I suggested. I guess changing the rules of the contest now may lead to chaos.

yeah could be, but now nobody gets the minimum of 80 points, if he just changed how many point you get from one referral nothing really changes. You just get to the 80 points faster
