Some useful tips there, what I tend to do, is have my Ads right at the end of the post and then I center it and make it look part of the content.
It has worked quite well for me and I have made a lot of money from it :P!
It seems that ads in the content work best. Not so that it creates a break between content, but so that content flows around it.

After the post and under the navigation menu were best for me on www.videogame-news.com
It depends on the template your blog is using.

Google's posted a guide (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=43869) on positioning your ads on blogs.

No amount of ad placement will do you good unless you get targetted traffic and your ads are contextual to your content. Of course, adsense is contextual but in some cases it shows unrelated ads too. For example, it started showing a real estate picture ad in one of my education-related blogs.
Before this happened, I had placed just one ad unit and one link unit on this blog, and yet my CTR hovered between 8% and 15%. It was on the higher side on days when the ads were most contextual..as in related to my post/blog topic.

Any tips for just getting "some" clicks on ads?
I just started using YPN on one site, and Adsense on my more popular blog (i'm currently trying to grow the one using YPN) and am still at the point of trying to make just $1 a day. I've been averaging about 250-350 pageviews per day. Why can't I seem to get 1-3 clicks a day even?
the sites in question are

propstm, I suggest you put a block in the content of your posts or in between posts. The current locations of the advertisements are blind to most users.

Thanks for the quick reply. A bit of help w/ adding the ad inline to the content... I'm using the AdSense Deluxe plugin. basically it gives me something like <!--adsense--> to auto generate the ad in the content. However I keep getting crazy gaps in my content. How do i get this so that the content is actually wrapping around the ad?
Thanks!
propstm, I put the code into a DIV so that it's automatically in my content.
<div style="float: right;margin: 3px;">adsense code</div>
I've personally edited my wordpress template so that a specific AdSense ad shows up in every post using:
<?php adsense_deluxe_ads('contentad'); ?>
Hope this helps.

Ad placement is just one of the way to earn you ads money, your content must also be able to reach out to the advertisers relevant to the ads display for clicks.
