What do you prefer: contextual advertising programs like Adsense, YPN,... or Affiliate Programs Like Copead, Azoogleads, CJ?

I prefer affiliate programs, because for me, once I got the hang of it, it was much easier to convert my visitors. Also they give waay higher payouts (for one site I have an eCPM around $4500, while the most I ever had with Adsense was $60). The only downside of Affiliate Programs in my opinion is that it's alot harder to start out with.

So, tell me your opinion.

I prefer contextual, just because it is less work. But you are correct that affiliate sites pay out a lot better. It just depends how much time you have to put forth.

I prefer contextual due to the amount of money ive made with them compared to Affiliate Programs.

Anyone has an experience with contextual advertising where some words of your actual site's text represent links to ads - this is to sites which want to be advertised? I saw it once in one health forum where it looked very disturbing, since any "cancer" or "pain" word pointed somewhere where no real relief was offered. But this could work for some technical or travelling site maybe.

IntolliTXT does that type of contextual advertising I believe.
