Well, most popular image hosting probably are:
Imageshack.us and Photobucket.com
Some other reviewed lists of free image hostings are here:

http://www.allimagehostingsites.com/
I'm using Gallery on my site though. Can we find a real good image hosting with a strong editing features?

I just tested Imageshack and can't see where to search images. Is this service only for private images hosting or also for image sharing?

You can't search images, you can only upload them and get a display link for them.

I've been working on a image hosting site. The strongest features are Trivial to sign up and post photos even for grandma (hint: email the photos to photos@simplephotoshare.com) and a scrapbooking/resizing/rotating/journaling page.
Simplephotoshare (http://simplephotoshare.com/)
Currently I'm working on adding uploads with status indicator.. Should be done this week.

Why not just use Flickr? Fast, free, easy to use...

Anyone know any hosting services that keep your images for ever? And don't have any bandwidth limits at all.

I've used imageshack.us
I still have an image with them that has been uploaded over a year ago, so time wise, they work. Bandwidth wise, don't know, but I think all sites would have a bandwidth limit, they don't want you sucking up GBs of space.

A good alternative for imageshack is http://www.glowfoto.com/
http://www.iup.in/ allows you to upload a multiple images together (you can zip them and upload as a single file).
I havent used it before, but http://www.slide.com/ also seems promising.

With Photolinko (http://photolinko.com) you can upload an image from the web without downloading it previously - so directly from a site onto a photohost. Upload from a PC and applet upload also possible. For each image you automaticly get URL, BB code and HTML code for easy copy-paste it on a forum, on a site. With free version you can only upload, for $10/6 months you get 2Gb space, 10Gb bandwith and you can edit images.

Be careful if you upload an image from another URL though, it could be copyright.
