Preselling has proven to be one of the most effective techniques to generate leads in my experience.
What is preselling?
Let's give an example:
Someone searches Google for "How to earn Money Online" and you've written an article "How to earn Money Online", the user will come to your site and start reading the article. Since this is highly targetted traffic, all you need to do is walk the user through the entire process the way you want, using the products you want them to use. You tell the User to use SEObook from www.seobook.com while using your affiliate link and do the same with Google Adsense. Then tell them to sign up for these programs so they can start earning money. This is effective because you're giving the user exactly what they want and how to do it, you're using one way to do it, and that's the way you want it and the way that earns you commissions. This works in every niche.
How To Write A Good Sales Copy
Knowing Your Target Demographic
- Who is your audience?
- What expectations do they have?
Writing for the right demographic/audience is very important. This should affect your writing style and language used. It should also effect the whole attitude and approach of your letter.
Your Neutral And Objective Sales Copy
It's vital to convince the reader that you are on their side. You're one of them, but you recommend the offer in question. Don't try to convince them that you're not trying to sell them something. Instead tell them you want them to go through with it, but give good reasons why the should and how it could benefit them. This builds trust and thus a higher conversion rate. It also helps if you write as if you really know the product you are promoting, do a little research, get an understanding on what the product is and how it works. Another thing that might give you a higher conversion rate, is giving your visitor reasons on why the product you are selling is better than any other competing product.
The Best Deals Always Expire First?
I'm sure you all have seen something like this before:
- This is a limited offer, only 7 copies left!
- Only x more days, or the price will go higher!
People are always afraid of losing out on a great deal, and you might be surprises on how well these techniques work well with many people.
And Last, But Certainly Not Least (Forgive me for stating the obvious)
Always re-read your page several times, just to make sure you haven't forgotten anything vital like spelling, grammar, typos. Break up your text with indentation, paragrapsh and bulletpoints for readability. Check your page and text to ensure it is well SEO optimized.
Well, that's it (for now). Please tell me if this proves useful to you.
