How do you display a stock quote on a home page that automatically updates itself without having to click on an outside link?

There are a lot of answers to your question ... too many to go into, actually. You need to refine your question a bit.

Do you wanr just the quote for a specific company?
More than one company?
Always the same company/mix of comapies, or must they be changeable?
What exchange (exchanges) are these stocks traded upon?

Who are the users? Will you be charging for these quotes(and thius have a liability) or can they be freebies for info only?

You want the quote to update automatically ... but how often?

The many sources of free public quotes on kline are typically delayed 15 minutes or so .. is this delay acceptable, or do you need real-time commercial quotes?

This will help some of the technophiles start thinking of solutions, perhaps.

Thanks for letting me know what to take into consideration.

I found a free script online which has all that I want. I just need a basic stock quote displaying the current price which can be delayed. Its going to be on a website for interest only.
