Hi, not sure if this is the right place to put my question, so apologies if it's wrong!

I decided to get a custom script developed in order for online users to see what their tattoo could look like in a number of fonts. I then purchased the domain TattooFont.net and the site was born.

The keyword "tattoo font" is highly searched with minimum competitors and there is only one other site that offers the same service as mine. My site has a much cleaner look though and better fonts.

With the site in place I added it to a few tattoo related directories. This month it has received 550 uniques! That is amazing for virtually no advertising! The site only has one adsense banner on it but it isn't clicked at all, perhaps this is because adsense does not have many tattoo realted advertisers so the banner is never related to tattooing at all.

What do you think I should do with the site, how could I monetize it more?

It's working fine for me, perhaps it was not available when you tried.

update: I've managed to exchange banners with other tattoo sites and also sign up to an afffiliate program after a conversaion with Tam from Dread Blog. Anything else?

Anyone else have any other suggestions? The site is averaging over 100 uniques per day and I don't want it to go to waste. HELP!

Okay, it loads now.

Well, there are a number of things you could do. I'd focus on cleaning up the site/page though first and improving it instead of worrying about marketing it since it's already getting good SE traffic.

Here are a few starter suggestions:

1. You're running your ads in the center page of the page within a red box and they are clearly ads. Normally I'm all for separating ads to an extent as to not completely trick the user, but on a quick turnkey site like this it's almost necessary. Remove the middle ad area and arrange near buttons or links.

2. Overhaul it - I'm sure you won't be insulted if I say it looks like crap. Sure, it's just a turnkey site, but even turnkey sites deserve a bit of TLC. If you just spent a couple hours even on improving the look, layout, etc. It would like a billion times better, and probably receive a better CTR.

3. Change your title from "Tattoo Font - www.TattooFont.net (http://www.TattooFont.net) - tattoo, fonts, your design." to something more descriptive such as "TattooFont.net - View live renderings of tattoo fonts" or something to that extent.

Thanks for your suggestions Tyler.

I do know I need to re-do the design, I'll probably get someone to code it up when I've got some spare cash. As for the adverts, I'll probably attempt to get a private advertiser in when the site gets more hits.

I think it has a good potential as there is only one other site like it and it's design sucks.

Cheers :D

good idea for the site but i would like to add that i think you need alot more fonts... like your competitor tattoo fonts (http://www.tattoofonts.net/)... also i would try to get many different fonts that vary greatly in style. the tattoofonts.net sucks cause there are so many fonts that look the same.
