Am I allowed to do that?
Google T&C's says
In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.
So if AdBrite have different colour text, will it be ok?

No, you will be banned if they find out you do that. Like the rule says, you can only have one or the other. It is mainly a competition issue. However, you can get by with selling text links or having picture ads if you find the advertisers yourself. Otherwise if you try your plan, you run a high risk of being banned.
It isn't worth it, trust me.

Ok thanks, I'll take them down (the AdBrite ones) :)

You could use the banner ads I believe, if your adsense doesn't use the banner ads. Adbrite is also having ads in video soon, which you can use along side with adsense. But the contextual ads can't be used together.

You don't have to take them down. Just make sure that the google ads and the adbrite ads are NOT on the same page. You can have them on different pages or you can use an ad management program to rotate them in your pages.

That is exactly what we were saying by 'taking them down'.
Even if the new video ads came out for adbrite, i wouldn't want to try and use it on the same page as google ads. I wouldn't be surprised if google added a new rule to clarify this when it happens. Even if not, I wouldn't try it.

Well I've got rid of them, if I have them in rotation then that's just pointless, would rather have all the income in one place so I only have one limit to reach!
Don't fancy taking any chances either, I should be getting paid on or around the 15th :)

If you did put them in rotation, you could see which ad company performs better and stick with them. That way you're with the company that gives the best payouts.
