Main search engines from all world countries! :)
Searchenginecolossus (http://Searchenginecolossus.com) lists all important search engines worldwide in their own languages.

If you're selling some things you can find special advertising sites in many countries. It is a lot easier to sell something directly through the "national" advertising site then through ebay.

The only Indian searc engines I knew about were Google India, Guruji and Khoj. This website have a few more.
These days Google is everywhere. And with Google being there its tough for new local search engines.

There is a search engine "in my country" which search exclusively and only through sites written in our language. This narrows searching a lot. Didn't ment that local searching can compete with bigger ones in any way though.

Baidu.com is the biggest search engine in China,but i offen use Google.cn.

Seekport.com searches only among European sites. You can narrow search to Italy, German, UK, France and Spain AND according languages.

Didn't know there were such specific search engines like that. But then again, being from America, there is no need as it seems America is one of the top contenders on the Internet.
