View Full Version : Ok new forum up, how can i bring the people?

I got a new forum up. Been up since yesterday. and i started to advertise on it with myspace :D so far only one person has even looked at it. Im kinda dumbstruck as what to do next? i mean i have to start writing blogs for the website right now but what i really want is to start getting people to look..

currently i just put up the website about 1 week ago so it isnt on the search engines yet which might bring in a few more people but what else can i do? I mean i think the topic is good enough to get people to post but i think, but i cant seem to find a good way to reach out. Any suggestions? thanks.

First: put your forum link in a "Community" section of this forum, you can expect a quick review :). We can talk from there then. If it's not a secret.

Tyler should move this to the community section, and you should give us a link, so we can look at it.

Do you have some content on the forum? nobody will join a empty forum!

Advertise to targeted traffic? I don't know if MySpace is targeted towards your needs.

Link with other sites? Paid advertising? Submitting to various niche related directories? Place link in sig at various forums?

well as far as the myspace part goes. I looked under groups and religions since it fits the criteria and posted threads on a few groups there. Dint seem to get anyone to even look at the site threw that though. So what im going to do now is as you can see on my other thread here...

pay if some of you want to help me out. pay for you to post and get friends to sign up just to get the ball rolling and hopfully by then i can really advertise it out. Right now when someone goes to look at the forum they just see nothing there cept my starter threads and they think nobody is there so they dont post. I just need a few threads going and 10-30 regular posters there so the forum looks alive not dead. check out my other thread if your intrested in helping me out and getting some money for it.
