Do laundromats offer a drop-off/pick-up service?
There's a laundry room in my building, and it's nice and clean and everything, but there are only 3 washers and 4 dryers, and so sometimes they are filled. Then there are people who don't get their stuff on time, so I end up having to go up and down a few times just to check if they are available (I'm on the 3rd floor, laundry room is on the 1st).
Then there's the fact that it takes up sooooo much of my time. I always have to constantly check the time to see when to go down and switch from washer to dryer, when to get from the washer to bring up to fold and put away...
So I was thinking (like my maid/cleaning service idea, but I will be getting that done eventually for sure) why not just drop off everything to a laundromat and then pick it up later, and pay the charge? I'm already paying $1.25 each time I use either a washer or dryer.
And I tend to let all my laundry pile up in the hamper until it's time to do them all so it's one big laundry day where I dedicate it to laundry, so it really does take the whole day.
Naturally, I looked online but couldn't find any website for any laundromats here. But there are some. I may phone them but wanted to ask first if laundromats generally do this.
Here's a question - how would I pick it up? Like.. I have usually 9-10 loads of laundry, even if they were folded, what type of container or such would they be in?
