I've found out that http://shopping.com is the most convenient site to get exact specifications of used hardware. Producers remove all old components from their Home pages quickly, so you just can't find let's say some older Toshiba notebook on Toshiba's site. Shopping.com is even better "covered" then ebay, by my opinion.
http://Tomshardware.com gives comment on all new PC hardware.
http://Driverguide.com is a database of all drivers for all PC components. Realy hard not to find appropriate one.
