All persons in my country have tax IDs. Companies have their "tax accounts".

Unfortunately I do not have a TAX number though I have a regular govt job!
The problem with me is that --in the region I live people from my community never have to pay any kind of taxes in hteir lifetime!
Now that is very good--but the tax card known as PAN ( Personal Access Number) in my country is very valuable. The govt should have provided it even to those who does not have to pay tax.

Thats is the problem I am having mate. I avoid those type of sites which limit my opportunities online to a great extent.

I can't as yet withdraw money from Google--I am just keeping it as it is as it requires Tax Info. I have not yet gone through their Tax policies--no time. But when it will be too necessay--I'll explore other options.

Are you sure this is mandatory? I've never had to enter a tax number and I have been paid a couple of times. Maybe you're talking about your social security number? Then, of course, that is absolutely necessary. They need this to keep track of your earnings and report them to the government.

I think you have to make something like $600 a year to qualify for taxable income. Anything under that, and you're good :)

If you don't have an EIN from the IRS for a business then use your SSN.

Moreover when I ask ppl they dont even seem to know cause tax is something that only businessmen and high earners pay .. ppl like me who dont even have a job have difficulties getting even a credit card.

I received my tax ID number when I registered my sole proprietor business with the state I reside in.
