View Full Version : Morals?
I'm wondering if any of you would be interested in getting into the adult webmaster business (and I wonder if Tyler would allow me to write articles about this), I guarantuee if you'd follow my advice I could get you to earn at least $100 a day from this (profit)

Do I have to take my clothes off and pose and stuff?
Haha, no no. Just having affiliate programs on your blog/site and update it daily with galleries and clips.

Haha, I wouldn't. If you are associated with that kind of thing, generally people will look at you with a sense of slight..disgust or judge you. Count me as having morals and wanting to keep them.
$100 a day can be achieved elsewhere outside of smut.

I would not get into any adult business unless it was a very luractive opportunity. Even if you don't mind it morally you have to weigh up the pros and cons of having your name associated with that type of business.
It is also a difficult markey to break with a lot of competition just like any other.

I respect your opinion, but I'm currently making 600 USD every single day with one adult website, only working one hour a day on it.

Currently, I am a student and I dont have time. But, if you dont mind send me a PM. I am always interested in learning about things.
Even, if I do it sometime later, I wont do it with my public id, as that will definitely take a battering.
I will, very soon. But I was hoping that Tyler could respond on this thread to see if he would mind if I posted it so everyone can read it. If he doesn't want me to, I'll send you guys pm.
Well I'm writing up the article now, so expect it soon ;). It does not involve paying for anything.
same here, waiting for the article.

I don't mind the discussion of adult sites for monetiziation and development as long as the content and such is legal and that there is a disclaimer in the thread title or top of the post to warn those that might be offended. Otherwise, business is business :)
I always assumed that the adult business was just all hype and didn't pay well. I thought this simply because of all the free porn out there - who would pay? But after meeting some people in the industry and befriending one of them (actually, he is one of the major players...) I found out just how well the niche does after all.
But it is indeed a question of morals and what you're comfortable with. There is also a lot of other downsides to the industry that you may not immediately think of. Getting loans and even other simple things you already take for granted can be a huge pain. There is only one bank in my friend's city that will let him use them for work...

I've been running a site, just testing the waters for the last week or so, its so easy to build up traffic for it, but hard to make the conversions.

Sam, if you can please post the article, personally I'm very interested. I didn't think I'd get into this kind of business, but like Tyler said, business is business and I'm just trying to make that paper. I've dabbled in it loosely.
