What type of stats is everyone getting regarding IE6? I was notified today by a reader that my layout was skewed because of inconsistencies between the browsers (Only evident in IE6). I checked my logs and I'm only getting 8.6% of my readers for the month of February using IE6.
Tracking down the source of the layout error was obnoxious and boring, and for the sake of well, an IE6 user. Anyone else still running into these issues?

My stats

# There are so many Opera users, as my website does have a lot of articles regarding Opera. Also, I get a decent amount of hits from Stumble Upon. Again, that increases the % of Fx users.
You should make the decision based on your website's readership patterns.

I ended up finding out there was an error in the CSS not allowing me to fix the issue with the UL elements width. So i had to modify my logo. Not too bad, but about 4 hours of work to come to that conclusion.

Believe me when i say, IE6 is the most used browser, used by most mainstream users. More experianced internet users are switching though. Or upgrading to IE7.

14.9% of my visitors use it. Anything more than 2-5% is worth supporting.
Overall, if you use good coding techniques, you will generally never have to worry about errors in IE.

People use Ie2? Hard to believe, that it to manage even 25% of current websites.
I got someone using Ie5, couple of days ago.

IE2 is hard to believe. I saw a screenshot of a current website using IE4 or so, and it just looked like there was no CSS attached (it was a forum, so some images showed up and the structure was the same).

I'm surprised at how many people use IE7 thus far, it's relatively new, I wouldn't think the average user would have known to upgrade yet.

Submerge: If I remember correctly, when you use Windows Update, it will automatically update unless you choose not to.

I work on computers and as of these past few days, every time I've done Windows Updates for a client, I have not been asked to install IE7.

Ah, it asked me one time I tried doing it.. Wierd.
One site:
1.
Firefox 58.57%
2.
Internet Explorer 261 31.07%
3.
Safari 5.71%
4.
Opera 3.33%
5.
Mozilla 0.83%
6.
Camino 0.48%
Another:
1.
Firefox 56.00%
2.
Internet Explorer 34.29%
3.
Opera 8.00%
4.
Safari 1.71%
The second is normally mainly IE but I just updated the design so there are many visits from techy forums skewing my stats (and I only just set up analytics on it).
