Seriously. 15th yesterday and I had $125 in my account and due to be paid shortly. This morning I have an email saying my account has been banned for invalid clicking! I've sent them an appeal but they will probably ignore it.
Someone said you rarely get your money from them.
Well whoever that someone was, he's not right.

I am using them for last two years, never faced such problems. May be your site got some real invalid clicks or they feel like your site generate invalid clicks.

My sites barely get any clicks, it's taken me ages to get to $125. No more than 10 a day across all 3 of my sites.

hmm that sucks, just try to get in contact with them, they will have a good reason for it

He most likely won't get it appealed, I haven't yet heard of many people getting an actual appeal. My suggestion would be to move on, and use Yahoo for your ad services.
I'm sure they had a reason to do what they did. They don't just randomly ban people.

Well after an hour or two of my appeal being sent in, I got a reply saying
After receiving your response, we re-reviewed your account data thoroughly. We have reconfirmed that invalid clicks were generated on the ads on your site in violation of our Terms and Conditions and programme policies.
They took time to review that then! ... not.
They didn't even give a reason, or which one of my sites had "invalid clicks".
I don't have a problem with moving on, will probably earn me more money if I do, it's just a kick in the teeth to lose it all so close to pay day. I could have been using someone else all this time and actually earning money.
Needless to say, I sent them a a rather angry email back and won't be recommending them to anyone else.

Any recommendations where to go next? I'd like to get some private advertises on my site but how do I go about finding people?
Give us more details. It's not often we hear of people being banned.
How long have you been with AdSense? How long did it take you to obtain the $100 payment threshold?
Google makes money from the "long tail", so they don't just get rid of small guys unless they're clicking on their own ads or someone else is clicking on them.

I've been with AdSense for probably over a year now but only started using it again about 3 months ago? And I only reached the threshold a week or two ago.
I think it might be to do with my proxy. Because it had 12000 pages views from the same IP address and I looked it up and it was a school. So if the ads were getting clicked at that school Google would think it was the same person wouldn't they?
Well, I did tell them that and they obviously didn't care. No doubt they will just keep my money for themselves.
When they ban an account based on fraud the money is refunded to the advertisers.
I imagine that having a majority of your page impressions coming from one source is the big red flag that makes them say no.
Do you have a proxy that makes all trafic coming to your site make it look like it's from the same source? If so, why?

hmm I'm not really sure what you mean. I just installed CGI Proxy.
I'm just looking for technical details about whatever proxy is causing everything to come from a single IP address.
What exactly is the benefit of using CGI proxy?
Chris369

CGI Proxy is just a script, it's fast, uses less resources than PHProxy and lets you log into Myspace etc (unlike PHProxy).
I don't think it's making everyone come from the same IP address, it's just that all computers on school networks have the same external IP address don't they?
Not always, but I'm sure some schools are setup that way.
Are you saying that the only people that visit your site are people from you school?

Yeah pretty much for the proxy site. Lets them get on MySpace ;)
I'm pretty sure that putting AdSense on those pages is a violation of the TOS.

On what pages? As far as I know you can have Adsense on the index, just not "proxified" pages.
I know that they want ads on content pages, and I'm not sure that type of page would count?
Seems like the IP thing is probably the culprit, though. If all the clicks are from the same IP then I doubt they want to take any chances.

Well I'm using AdBrite now and I've sent them an email to ask if they IP thing will be a problem.

Had the same problem with one of my sites. Got an email saying payment will be sent and then the next day got an email saying invalid clicks and that I was terminated. I have since moved on to YPN and made a good amount of money with their network. Adsense Sucks!

Ah, I would use YPN but it's only for US residents isn't it?

And it's still in beta right? Do you know whether it's going to be a worldwide thing when it's out of beta?

hmmm Videogame-news has an IP address with 15000 pages which is double the next one (which is me). That looks a bit suspicous too. I looked on network-tools.com and did a trace route and the last host name it gives is border10.tge3-1-bbnet1.acs.pnap.net
Anyone know what that is? Is it an ISP or something else well known?

Is that true? Because my brother was banned a week or two ago, could that be the reason I'm banned as well?!
That's crazy but might just be why you got banned. I take it you guys live in the same house and have the same address?

Sadly yes, if you live at the same address you won't have a flying chance in hell of not being banned, I've experienced this.

Yup same address. Damn that sucks :/

You could possibly use your name still at a different address, maybe use your suite address(post office can provide this to you) instead of the longer address and maybe still get in. Or register a business with an EIN and use the business as yourself and use a different mailing address(maybe buy a mailbox at the post office if you can make good money)
