I've been on and off nearly all day and there has been hardly any new posts. Why is this? I would have thought the weekend would be when the site gets most activity.

Because people sleep late? I just came on myself.

Well, its a general internet phenomenon. A lot less people surf during weekends and holidays. People generally prefer to hang out and relax instead of surfing the net during weekends.

hmm good point, forgot about time differences. I guess most the users here are from the States then?
Yup, this is the 'weekend effect' that hits most websites. ;)

I've found less active members on various forums on Sundays and the most on Mondays.

Similarly, in television Friday Night is a bad time, as most people are out enjoying the night before first weekend. It's known as the death slot as most programs suffer once shifted to this timeslot.

I'm usually away socializing on weekends. Oddly enough, my sites make more traffic on the weekends.

Yup, I would have been a busy bee but it was my 2 year anniversary with the gf so I had obligations elsewhere, plus it did become a little hectic when things hadn't ran smoothly(at all) as planned.

Because most of the people here have lives. That's why you always see me on the computer/internet on weekends. :)

I like to go out and live life to the fullest.

Maybe because at weekends people like to enjoy themselves rather than sitting in front of the computer.
