View Full Version : What to do with this domain?
Hi guys,
I'v recently purchased the domain name GrandTheftAutoFour.com in a private auction after the previous registrant didn't renew. I'm considering running a latest news/rumours blog on the site about the October 07 release of GTA4/GTAIV, just wondered what other people's views are?
Would it be best to run the blog and try and create some adsense income? or maybe just try and sell the domain now?
Thanks,
Greg

Develop it into a website, not just a blog. A blog will only do you good until it releases, a website, that offers lets say cheats, mods, skins, etc. will do you good for a long time.

I agree. A CMS system will serve you better than a blog.
Maintaining such a website will take a lot of effort. If, you are ready to put in the efford needed to keep it updated with stuff, its worth a try.
Otherwise, selling it may be better.
Thanks for your replies guys,
I've setup a blog already www.grandtheftautofour.com but following your comments will setup additional pages for game tips/cheats, and other info in the future months.
Not sure whether it would be worth trying to sell so early on?

It might be worth to sell when the GTA4 hype begins, it hasn't started yet so you won't get a higher value.
Thanks submerge, I'll continue developing the site and see how traffic goes, hoping for a lot of GTA4 hype! with it being released on XBox360 and PS3! :D

Definately a good domain, perhaps stick up a blog for now, while at the same time constructing the site for released nearer the games release.
Congrats on the domain buddy!
Thanks camuk19, Ive got a blog running now www.grandtheftautofour.com :)
I'll definitely be working on a full site to release in a few months hopefully
Thanks,
Greg

Looking good - I really like the theme.
Keep it updated with the rumours and I'm sure you'll get some traffic :P.
Hi Arthur07.
Thanks for your comments, yes I customised a theme I found, still a few tweeks to be made but its getting there.
Thanks,
Greg
