View Full Version : Publisher Forums Avatars
Hi guys,
Had a spare few minutes, and thought maybe Publisher Forums could use some standard avatars, that are default for new members on sign-up? or optional as an avatar gallery(?)
Or perhaps be used after the titles, like Lurker, Member, etc
So you could have blue for cold (lurker/low posts)
going upto the standard orange/red logo for the highest posters...

Pretty nice avatars. For disabling off site banners, maybe he doesn't want an abundance of banners in peoples signatures, slowing down load times. I know a lot of webmaster forums don't allow images in signatures.

It would dramatically increase loading time. Dramatically. Plus, I don't want to see red x's all over the place from older members, etc.

Fair comments, just thought I'd put them out there as had a spare few mins :)

What do you mean by feed burner signature?

"FeedBurner , the RSS feed management service, offers site owners a fancy HTML signature that displays a rotating and clickable series of your most recent posts."
Sounds pretty cool :D.

Ooh, that would be pretty cool. My signature could liven up a little bit. But HTML in signatures can lead to abuse, is there anyway to limit what can be used in the signature for html codes?

I am not entirely sure, you could probably filter for the really obvious words like "javascript" and "frame." I'm sure there is probably a vbulletin hack somewhere.

I am not really asking for html. Sample feedburner signature :

Oh, that looks pretty cool actually. Better than a static banner in my opinion.
