Creditorweb.com provides Credit Card comparisson (http://www.creditorweb.com/).
Over 150 CCs are currently listed. Site uses a "learn & compare before buy" concept.

You can chose credit card features and browse only CCs which interest you, you can search by keywords, categories, CC providers. There are credit card terms (http://www.creditorweb.com/definition.aspx) explained, news, articles about frauds, there is a credit card forum (http://forum.creditorweb.com/)

1. SITE LOADS in three seconds on T1 connection which is far from optimal. URL="http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/wso.php?url=http://www.creditorweb.com/"]Speed/size test[/URL] shows that images conribute 57Kb from overall 101Kb Home page size and that loading speed can be really slow (checked on 56K modem : 8 seconds). The flash image can contribute a lot to this.

There seems to be some serious problem with your hosting server. DNS lookup test (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=creditorweb.com) shows many warnings. A hosting server expert can explain this correctly. Server problem is reflected in DNS timing (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnstime.ch?name=creditorweb.com%2F&type=A) also. These two tests can or cannot be reasons for slow site speed. Stopping a flash temporarly and asking fast the site loads on visitors side can give a partial answer about the cause of slow loading - are they images/scripts or server problem.

2. On the FIRST LOOK bright green color is very nice, design is clean, fits in 17 LCD sreen.

3. DESIGN: CreditorWeb title gives only a suggestion that the site will be about credit cards. Logo is "empty", not informative. Subtitle Credit cards made easy contains widely used "made easy" phrase which is attractive but again gives no additional information to user and search engines. "Credit card comparisson", "Compare credit cards", "Credit card offers" (keywords!) are my suggestions. I also suggest to move introduction text somewhere on the top. It should be the first thing someone reads. Credit card example on the right bottom is blurred.
Favicon is small, black, not optimal. Grean links on green background are little hard to read.

Site's look in Firefox, Opera, Konqueror, Safari. (http://browsershots.org/website/http://www.creditorweb.com/). No problems. Well, on Win 98/I.E. 6 (http://www.freespaces.com/freespace/creditorweb.bmp)text doesn't fit in the boxes.

4. NAVIGATION: If the site's main feature is informing people about CC, then Learn about Credit cards should be the first link in the top menu followed by Aply for Credit Card. Links change position after clicking on any menu link anyway. I suggest to bold these link titles, maybe only "Learn", "Apply", "Proccessing" words, not sure about partial bolding though. Navigation through all links on the site is smooth and fast. Best Credit Cards can be "Find appropriate credit card" or "Chose desired credit card features" This page seems to be the main feature on the site, so exact link title can help potential customer (even from Search engine...).
Most recent Articles can be "Recent articles" or "Articles about credit cards"...
Sitemap would be helpful.

5. CONTENT:
Introduction text suggestion:
"Creditor Web is dedicated to assisting you to compare credit card offers to find the best credit card for you. We recognize there is a lot involved in choosing a credit card so we have published a number of articles as well as detailed reviews of every card. Our goal is to make sure you are well informed before you ever apply for a credit card. For merchants we offer several credit card processing reviews and articles."

(I would use only the green colored text).

Content is excellent and comprehensive. I suggest to shorten introduction parts of content in all categories. Detailed suggestions about this would need some time...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CONCLUSION:
Site speed: Slow, so a) try speed without flash b) consult hosting owner about the DNS test.
Design: no major mistakes, consider to change color of links.
Navigation: Sitemap
Position in Google: "Credit card offers". Hard to beat 12 years old site. Domain age is one of the top factors in Google SERP ranking.
"Compare credit cards" #6 site is 7 years old and is listed 2x in DMOZ, 4x in Yahoo, 6x in Wikipedia
I can't say if is it possible to compete with so old sites.

SEO PLAN: Getting backlinks from 1. quality 2. topic related 3. high PR sites with 4. few outgoing links and 5. put "Credit card offers" / "Compare credit cards" (alternatively) in anchor text on all your backlinks >> this is 1st important thing regarding keywords. Many current backlinks contain no anchor text at all. There are quite some PR5 backlinks but they mostly come from sites with 1,000+ other outgoing links which totaly diminishes backlink value. (htp://backlinkwatch.com - it can take several minutes that links are shown). Other keyword phrases can be used occasionally.
