SEOBOOK reveals diferrent ways main search engines use to rank sites.
According to Aaron Wall:
~Yahoo puts a lot of weight on commercial sites. ~It search for common words also: If you typte: "How to earn online" then "how to" will be also considered in results, while Google ignore such words.
~MSN put little weight on a domain age. A new page on a new site can be ranked high. ~They heavily promote marketing sites.
~Google puts a lot of weight on informational sites (edu, Wikipedia...) ~Domain age has a lot of weight. ~New page on a new site will hardly rank high. ~Google filters double content out vigorously. ~Sandbox is only a side effect of algorhytms...not set on purpose
