I suggest the internet developers to build in a - smell option - so - like we have loudspeakers, we could heave smellboxes or so..
Everyone check an online perfume store (drhfinegifts.com).
Site opens in 2-3 seconds and loads fully in 7-8 seconds on T1 (1.44Mb/s) connection from Europe. This is slow.WEbsiteoptimization speed test (http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/wso.php?url=http://www.drhfinegifts.com/) shows very bad results though. 297Kb of images giving 387Kb size of the Home page can be a reason for this. Optimal Home page size doesn't exceed 100Kb....
Hosting speed (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnstime.ch?name=drhfinegifts.com&type=A) is not optimal also.

1. FIRST THING noticed on a site was a banner with many elements.
Second Thing were perfumes, I guess.
2. DESIGN: Banner Logo (left sided title) is very thin, my be elegant but not clear. There are way too much announcments, notices, invites in the top area of the Home page. Blue outlined buttons don't look nice. Perfume images of perfumes are kind a small - i think it's very important that all text on perfume samples is seen clearly. The authentic & secure "button" is "very red", it should be placed in the introduction text, not in that lower right corner where it also covers some bottom page text.
Site's look in: Firefox, Opera, Konqueror..browsers (http://browsershots.org/website/http://www.drhfinegifts.com/). No problems noticed.
3. NAVIGATION: The whole header banner area points toward Home, so I don't see the reason for all other "announcments" in the header. It looks stuffed. Tell a friend and Discouned coupons should go just few centimeters lower together with Login/registering field and other contact info. If you insist to have login in top menu, it should be set as the last link, since someone has to find the reason for login first. This reason can be explained in the middle positioned introduction text. Search field is very good only it should be alligned to center. Free samples button should go in the top menu.
Left menu: Men's fragrances: A-Z list should be placed horizontaly and anothet then A-Z searh option should be available. The same for other fragrances. This part of menu should be more clearly separated: Child/women/men products. Prize drawings list should have the newest drawings on the top.
4. CONTENT: The site's accent is on perfumes. Guides, tips /history of perfumes give it a comprhensive look. This is one of the great challenges of this site. To provife quality, detailed but still short info about perfumes from all aspects.
Summarized suggestion about the end look of Home page:
a. Header: Emphasized logo, no other pictures/images in the banner. Title don't need to contain "discounted" twice.
b. Introduction text content: Learn about perfumes, get free samples, buy online, pay with PP/CC, get discount points, become an affiliate. Authenticy certificate. (No need to repeat the whole long title here again).
c. Search field in the middle
d. Top menu links order: Perfume offers, Candles, Free perfume samples, Order, FAQ & Perfume tips, Prize drawings.
e. Left menu links order: Home, Women's, Men's, Child's perfumes perfumes & gift sets (so only three links for all these), Unisex, Candles, Other.
f. Second left menu: All about ordering within one link, all perfume info in one link, for Affiliates one link. Contact link on the bottom. All other links on the very bottom of the site.
g. Conversions can go in horisontal line just above the perfumes table, this way the bottom table will nicely move up without need to narrow it.
