I want to make a website that gives away free email addresses. How do I do that? Is there some kind of program that can make this for me?

People should sign up, get a free email address, then come check their email everyday.

There use to be a script that did this a couple years back I remember, or a website that let you do this. It use to be one of the big crazes so you may find a script. Maybe try searching SourceForge or HotScripts, I can't help offhand, but I do recall something similar awhile back.

You can start browsing for mail scripts here (http://sourceforge.net/search/?words=e-mail&type_of_search=soft&pmode=0&words=mail&Search=Search).

Also check Hotscripts for "mail". (http://www.hotscripts.com/search/14526824.html) You'll soon get an idea that you can offer to others many other things beside mail account. You can start with reseller hosting - everyone will get a site with his own mail.

You want to provide email solution.
The email market is already crowded with some very impressive options. So, to attract users you would need to provide something unique i.e. you would need a custom made script.

Anyway, if you want to use a ready made script you can use AXIGEN.

Sunfrog, are you trying just to make a site that gives away free email addresses, or will it be incorporated with another site you use?

A stand alone site that gives away free email addresses.
It doesn't have to do that tho, it can do whatever. What would you do with these: imasweetheart.com and imasweetie.com

Ahh, I see what you're aiming for with those domains. Other than an email site, possibly a store for Valentine or Sweetest Day.

If you don't mind parting with a few $$ for a script I recommend Hivemail.

It integrates with all sort of scripts such as vbulletin which could be useful.

Offtopic slightly, it might be fun to write your own, if you have the coding experience :P.

Assuming you have the access to add emails on your server - even if it's via cPanel - you could write something to interact :).
