I need people to write quality video game reviews for my site. How do I get people to do that for free?

If they won't do it for free will they do it for 10 cents a review? I want them to review PS3 games as soon as they come out.

Oh please, if you have that kind of attitude don't even think about getting started in affiliate marketing. Either do it yourself or be willing to pay up.

10c a review?! lol .. you might as well not pay them anything.

Your threads make me laugh on here :)

If you want a good 500 word review, you would probably have to cough up $15 (preferrable more).

Is 500 words a lot? Tyler has over 2,000 movie reviews on his site and he got them for free. That's what I'm asking, how do you get reviews for free? My budget is like, $100 a month, because I'm broke. Lol. I'm not a rich netrepeneur like Tyler. I'm just a newbie. At $15 a pop I'd only be able to start my site with 6 game reviews. Is there someplace I can advertise for slave labor?

Oh! I did it. I figured it out! I was sitting there in the loo when I had an idea. All my reviewers get a free Gamefly account in exchange for reviewing games for my site. All they have to do is review the latest PS3 games when they come out. They get the latest games free and I get game reviews that only cost me $22 a month. :) There are currently 25 games out, I think, so that would save me...$353 USD.

Plus, when they aren't reviewing games for me they can rent whatever they want. :)

I'm glad you figured that out. It's one of the better routes to accomplishing the "free" reviews. Also, when your site gets more authority, companies will send your reviewers free games, but you have to prove to them that your site is a quality site. They won't just send free games. Check out: http://vgamin.com It's a webmaster community for video game sites

To get actual free workers, it's harder but just find people who love to write and play video games. But they won't exactly fork over money for new games to review for you.

Free game reviews won't last long. You will have to pay your users surely. Better to go to Digitalpoint. I think that guys there can write good reviews for you for $4 a review.

Nothing is free :).

You try running the site by yourself for a bit and then taking on some extra writers when it has the potential to be profitable.

You'd be surprised, teenagers will write for free. Especially if you give them free games. I remember when I was a teen (15/16) and worked for gaming sites like this. But then again, gaming was A LOT cheaper.

OK, well i wouldn't write for free but its not unheard of, I have one friend who does.

You could try some sort of free upgrade to a "premium account" :P to encourage folk to write for you e.g. give them access to an extra forum etc., extended mailbox (if you also have a forum for something similiar on your website).??
