How do I buy a domain name from Go Daddy?

The domain name I want is owned by Go Daddy but they want $18.99 to backorder it. Is that how they rip you off? They steal your domain name then make you backorder it? Why do they own domain names anyway? It doesn't say someone else owns it, it says they own it. The domain name I want is WikiWifi.com

I don't think Go Daddy do own it, the person that does bought it through them.

Hmm.. that's not the Whois info I saw. That's strange.

I'd have to say Chris is probably correct, either the who is you looked up was wrong or you just read it wrong. I wouldn't back order the domain, unless it's expiring real soon.
