I had mentioned earlier how the skin designer for PublisherForums had a far different idea in mind than what I wanted.
I had produced for him a lengthy 4-5 page, descriptive and well-written, about how I wanted the skin to look. Unfortunately even after that he had a much different idea:

After many conversations and about 10 revisions and 40 minor changes later, we have what we have today.
I'm very particular in what I want, and I wasn't going to settle for something so far from what I envisioned.
The logo was the same. I had provided a lengthy and detailed description to the logo designer, and he had a much different idea than what I wanted. Fortunately though in both cases each designer worked with me to conjure up what I had envisioned.
Moral of the story? Don't settle! If you see something in your mind, keep pushing towards it until you achieve what you originally wanted, or as close to it as possible.
