New Website: (Feedback & Ideas Wanted)

Hoping to get some ideas and feedback on my site...this is my first attempt at building a webiste.

The site is Postabar.Com it was created in the Fall of 2006.
It is a website service to make it easy to post and locate nightspots.

This website is still being developed and we look to improve our design.
With the help of Post-A-Bar users and their knowledge of local nightspots we hope to grow and become a good site.

We want to keep our site simple, informative, and easy to navigate.
This site is updated primarily by it's users and maintained by Post-A-Bar administrators.

All comments and suggestions are welcome and highly encouraged.

The website is loading now, but took a fair amount of time.

# Very little content on the home page. This doesnt help in terms of SEO.
# You use 35 words in the Meta Description tag but you should use less words. The number of keywords is also quite large.
# Home page doesnt contain any of the keywords in text. Instead of using images
# Website looks very dull. Your website needs a make over.

It's better than my first website but of course there is room for improvement.

At the moment your website looks rather plain, try injecting some colour into it. Also some of your content is centered and some is left aligned? Could you not do one or the other?

#Add related content to your landing page including p,h1,h2 tags
#Ad integration is pretty bad, I couldn't see anyone clicking the ad unless they are extremely interested in it.
