From my experience, I've never seen a website go from a PR0 to a PR6. You're going to need some high quality links just to start off jumping so high. And I don't know much websites that hand out those type of links.
You're site isn't loading on my end either.

From my experience...
Yes, it's amazingindiaexperience.info
So, let's go carefully through it.
SITE OPENS in two seconds and loads totaly in three secoinds on 1.44Mb/s connection in Europe.
DNS Timing test (http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/dnstime.ch?name=amazingindiaexperience.info&type=A)suggests a slow hosting server, but I can't cionfirm this.
This site validation (http://r.netmechanic.com/toolbox/spell_check.cgi?f=f/114/080/1237/11-23572/&p=1&vi=1&fp=1&fv=5&s=NetMechanic) will tell you quickly what to look.
First thing noticed on a site is a big live banner. Second: Two titles.
DESIGN: OK, the upmost title is not needed. I guess I got the way how to remove it. The grey border of a banner and grey background are debatable. Shortened links in left menu can be corected from the _bloglist.php file from the file manager. Some redundant words from the left column can be erased from the code of index.php file, I guess. Introduction text on the right is very nice, I would emphasize it a little with bolding or putting in a box - just to be vivid enough. I see only ads and archives on the righ column. Search field should be there just below introduction followed by login, categories, ads and archives. Partner sites title should not be underlined (it looks like a hyperlink).
The block of Google ads breaks through the right border in most browsers. (http://browsershots.org/website/http://amazingindiaexperience.info/). Solution is to place ads in between posts.
NAVIGATION is OK, it is related with the design though. Banner should point to Home.
CONTENT: Posts are naturally written. Some are very long. Short posts are by far more atrractive.
KEYWORDS (as suggested in meta keywords): tour india, india travel, ancient india, india forum, india news, india visa, google india, mumbai, india movie, india food, bollywood, indian cinema, film gossips, indian cricket, indian business, indian software industry, outsourcing from india
Keyword analyzis (http://www.submitexpress.com/cgi-bin/analyzer/meta.pl?url=http://amazingindiaexperience.info) shows:
- funny keywords in image ALT tags
- one/two/three word keyword phrases table offers very intersting reading - what bots see as a site content. This is what spiders see (http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/se-bot-simulator.html?op=se-bot-simulator&go=1&pageurl=http%3A%2F%2Famazingindiaexperience.info&se=googlebot&submit=Start). Take a close look on anchor text in links.
PR is still 0
BACKLINKS in Google: 52
POSITION IN GOOGLE:
"Amazing India": #2 (http://www.google.com/search?q=amazing%20india&start=0).
tour india
india travel
ancient india
india forum
india news
india visa
google india
mumbai
india movie
india food
bollywood
indian cinema
film gossips
indian cricket
indian business

outsourcing from india
No other keyword phrases are among 1,000 in Google. It would be interesting if you reveal few statistics - how many visitors came from search engines and via which keywords.

Getting PR6 in one update period was reported by at least one other forum member. From what I see above, you have PR5 for sure, I think. Anyway, post it here whatever happens, it's a great chance for some analyzis.
About keywords "not among 1,000 in Google".
It is obvious that "Amazing India" in the title, domain and in backlinks has a great value even if it is not mentioned in the blog posts often. You can set other keywords as titles of inner pages - in your case > subblogs. There is not even one keyword there currently. Keywords in anchor text in inner links on those subblogs can help to rank your site/pages.

Well, like I said, from my experience. And no, I don't rely heavily on link building, I allow for natural link building. And from your link quality, I'd see your PR being PR3, maybe a PR4. You still have a lot of work to make it to a PR5 or PR6

We will see --after few days --isn't --who is right.
I have a friend on DP who thinks just like you. He has an Article site/directory almost two years old --
http://www.shareyourexpertise.com --and never built any links --naturally --the site got good amount of backlinks by time. But they are useless in terms of PR.
He is a bit dejected because there are few few who would write articles and submit it to his site. Because it is only PR2:(
On the otherhand --there is another article directory-- http://www.e-topic.com --very strong PR6. It consist of unique articles and gets high traffic.
115xPR0 4xPR1 1xPR2 4xPR3 6xPR4 9xPR5 7xPR6
If these links won't get me atleast PR5 --I promise you --I'll abandon the whole BLOG.

It was a pretty clean blog and you have targeted your keyword on amazing india.Overall my experience on your blog was pleasant.
Your Content was pretty much on indian gossip, celebrities and stuff which i am not sure about but i did put in effort to read on the contents and notice it was nice of you to think of paragraphing after 4-5 sentence for easy reading.
Your sidebar are basically easy to navigate by the sides, there are no missing links nor 404 pages.
No ads. I don't see any form of monetization on your blog, it might be because you do not want to distract your readers online, a clean and ads-free blog.
You need at least 100 backlinks to have your pagerank, it is wise you find related blogs or site and request for a exchange in link or else try and join blog carnival and search for any related post that you can submitted to gain backlinks. :)
