This is not a simple posting contest where only the top posters can win. In fact, there are 11 prizes available to be won, and members may qualify for for multiple prizes.
There are other webmaster forums out there that actually endorse spam or low quality posts. That would go against PublisherForums's purpose, which is to provide intellectual discussion for web publishers. The prize structure has been set up to allow for both the best possible quality for the site, as well as awarding members for various contributions to the forum.

Quality Post Winners
Quality posting is when a member makes particularly high quality or helpful posts on average. The top quality posters will be chosen by the administrator. Members of the forum will then vote on a poll to decide the winners. In the case of a tie, the winnings will be split. In order to be eligible, the administrator must find the member to have produced especially high quality posts, and a minimum of 200 posts must be made.
Top Post Winners
The top posters will be measured by the highest number of posts made during the contest. It is imperitive to understand that poor, low-quality posts, or spamming is in no way tolerated. Members who purposely make poor posts in order to boost their post count will be removed from the contest at the administrator's descretion. Please be sure to read the forum rules. In the case of a tie, the winnings will be split. In order to be eligible, a minimum of 500 posts must be made.
To get a rough idea of where you stand in terms of post count, you can go here. An exact post count of the contest's timeframe will be calculated at the end of the contest by the administrator for accuracy.
Community Spirit Winners
Community spirit winners will be members who are enthusiastic, helpful, and have a strong sense of community activeness within PublisherForums.com. For example, a member who writes a funny poem of PublisherForums.com and posts it up is helping build the community as well as morale. Another example is somebody who decides to make custom PublisherForums Avatars for people.
The top community spirit posters will be chosen by the administrator. If the administrator does not find anyone eligible in his eyes, none will be selected. In order to be eligible, a minimum of 200 posts must be made.
Top Point Winners
Another way for members to win a prize is to accumulate the most number of points. Points are gained seperate from actual posts, and there are a number of ways to receive points. The chart below displays in more detail. Also note that points may be awarded by the administrator for various mini-contests. For example, there may be a mini-contest for the best fake 'magazine' cover for PublisherForums, where the winner would receive a certain amount of points.
In order to be eligible, a minimum of 50 posts must be made as well as a minimum of 80 points.

For each member you refer to the site that registers, you receive 1 point. View this link to see the top referrers. Only refer quality members; that is, do not attempt to get your friends to sign up just to rack up points. Signing up friends is fine as long as you think they'd be a good contribution to the site.
Requirements: Referrers must be legitimate referred members and must genuinely be interested in the site and not incentivized in any way.
